Join the San Antonio Apartment Association Advocacy Team to help re-elect Councilwoman Sukh Kaur for San Antonio City Council District 1.
Poll Greeting is when volunteers for a chosen candidate station themselves at a voting location and wave signs, offer handouts, and thank voters for coming out to vote. This is the last interaction voters have with a certain candidate before they vote.
SAAA needs you to sign up to be a Poll Greeter on the first day of Early Voting, Tuesday, April 22nd.

Steps in Poll Greeting
- Arrive on time for your shift at the voting location
- Station yourself outside the 100 ft marker line
- Greet approaching voters
- Hold your sign, wave, and say hello!
- Offer information about the candidate we are supporting
- Encourage them to vote for the candidate we are supporting by saying something like “Please vote for Councilwoman Sukh Kaur!”
- When voters leave, tell them “Thank you for coming to vote. Don’t forget to remind your friends to come vote, too.”
What do I bring with me?
- A folding camp chair
- A charged cell phone
- Snacks and bottled water
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- An umbrella for shade or rain, or bring a pop-up tent
