We are dedicated to promoting and advancing the needs of the Apartment Industry

 Each year, we host many networking events, provide exceptional career development opportunities, and raise significant funds for advocacy efforts and our community initiatives. 

Our members include rental housing owners/developers/management companies, supplier companies, and professionals within the apartment industry.  Unlike other associations, the "member" is your company, and anyone who works for the member company is automatically entitled to membership benefits!  How cool is that?

We are currently waiving the $50 New Member Processing Fee from July 12 - August 11.

Owner/Management Member

A Business Entity or individual that owns, manages, or controls multifamily units or other rental housing units in the counties served by the Association.

$250 base membership per year + $3.10 per unit per year ($50 processing fee being waived from July 12 - Aug. 11)

The Association was started over 50 years ago so that the rental housing owners could havea stronger voice when governmental policies that impact the rental housing industry were formed and we now participate in the drafting of most of these types of city policies.

Independent Rental Owner (IRO)

An Independent Rental Owner (IRO) is someone who owns and is actively involved in the management of their properties in the counties served

$200 base membership per year + $3.10 per unit per year (for IROs who own 50 units or less) ($50 processing fee being waived from July 12 - Aug. 11)

$250 base membership per yera + $3.10 per unit per year (for IROs who own 51 units or more) ($50 processing fee being waived from July 12 - Aug. 11)

  • Education that is tailored to the needs of the Independent Rental Owner, such as Protesting Your Property Taxes and Preventative Maintenance
  • Automatic membership in the Texas Apartment Association & the National Apartment Association
  • Only members can use the TAA leases, forms and computer software, and REDBOOK (Legal Reference Book) 
  • Access to TAA forms through Bluemoon Software or paper forms
  • Updates on important Industry information.

  • Regularly scheduled breakfast meetings exclusively for IROs to share best practices and network
  • At the local level, the Government Affairs Committee represents SAAA in such matters as Building Code Revisions, Gate Ordinances, impact fees, Tree Preservation Ordanance, water issues and overall housing policy.  Protecting your interests.
