As of January 20th, 2021, the temporary CDC Eviction Moratorium for nonpayment of rent in rental housing has been extended to March 31st , 2021.

NEW RENTAL ASSISTANCE FUNDING FROM CONGRESS

Most recently the City of San Antonio confirmed that it will receive $46.7 million dollars in Emergency Rental Assistance funds from the COVID-19 Congressional relief package that was approved at the end of 2020.  The City has not released any new information about the qualifications or application process for these funds.  The estimated date of when residents and property management will be able to submit applications for these new rental assistance funds is the second week of February.

The City of San Antonio still currently has funds available for rental assistance from the previous congressional COVID-19 stimulus package, through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.  Please direct residents in need of rental assistance to that information through this link.

The San Antonio Apartment Association will continue to update members with news of any changes regarding evictions and rental assistance available.
