Responsible for all management functions of the Association including staff and direction of all activities as prescribed by the Board of Directors. Monitors city and local government activities and proposed ordinances, while actively participating at state (TAA) and national level (NAA). Serves as liaison to Nominating, Bylaws, and Budget and Finance Committees, as well as special task forces.

Director of Communications & Marketing Technologies  |  Kimberly Pipes  |

Plans, administers and produces the publications of a bi‐monthly magazine, as well as the Annual Directory & Buyer’s Guide. Creates advertising pieces as needed for members. Administers the SAAA website, Weekly Update and social media platforms for the Association, including Facebook, Twitter, Linked‐In, Instagram Snapchat, YouTube and Flickr. Association photographer. Produces all graphic design, promotional and marketing materials. Oversees the Sponsorship Program and serves as Liaison to the Product Service Council.

Director of Professional Development  |  Jennifer Feeler  |

Responsible for the professional development programs and associated committee activities.  Liaison to the Education Council, Outreach Committee, American Red Cross and Operation Blue Santa.


Director of Finance  |  Edgar Nieves  |

Maintains and oversees all Association accounting and finance functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger and Financial Reporting.  Prepares annual Operating Budget with Executive Director and serves as liaison to the the Budget and Finance Committee.

Director of Government Relations  |  Hector Morales, Jr.  |

Responsible for the development and implementation of Association government relation activities and involvement. Coordinates all aspects of political involvement including fundraising, grassroots programs and election activity. Serves as liaison to Government Affairs and PAC Committees.


Director of Member Services  |  Darlene Willis  |

Plans and administers membership activities including recruitment of new members and retention of existing members.  Liaison to the Membership, Ambassador, and Buddy Committees. Coordinates the 100 Club Fundraising Campaign.

Executive Assistant  |  Debbie Humes-Maldonado  |

Responsible for various administrative duties including data maintenance of SBA system to ensure integrity of all member account and relevant financial information. Maintenance includes member updates and changes, payment postings, credit adjustments, new member account set‐up, and member information verification.


Programs & Events Manager |  Sandra Merlo  |

Coordinates the logistics and registration of attendees at SAAA events. Works in coordination with SAAA Directors on committee input and planning for meetings and special events.


Administrative Coordinator  | Kayla Gasker |

Coordinates administrative functions at SAAA including click orders, forms and hospitality.  Works in coordination with SAAA Directors on registrations and various departmental projects.
