Government Affairs Committee
SAAA members and staff monitor local governments throughout the San Antonio area to identify emerging legislative action that would increase industry regulations or increase our cost of doing business. The committee meets monthly to discuss legislative issues and as needed during election season to meet with candidates, make contribution recommendations to the PAC Trustees and endorsement recommendations to the SAAA Board of Directors.
Government Relations Committee members are asked to:
• Get to know the local and state elected officials in the area
• Report any action by your city that affects the industry
• Participate and invest in SAAA PAC- help educate SAAA members about the importance of a healthy PAC.
