WHY YOU SHOULD BECOME A MEMBER OF THE
SAN ANTONIO APARTMENT ASSOCIATION

TAA/NAA
You are automatically a member of the Texas Apartment and National Apartment Associations when you join the San Antonio Apartment Association. Your membership offers you the opportunity to participate in the state and national meetings and education conferences and conventions, as well as enabling you to receive and participate in industry publications.

LEGISLATION
A primary responsibility of SAAA is to keep abreast of city ordinances and the activities of the regulatory agencies that affect the operation of rental housing organizations. The association promotes the best interests of the multihousing industry through legislation on a local, state and national basis.

EDUCATION
SAAA is vitally concerned with the professionalism within the multifamily industry and offers programs and seminars for all phases of management. National professional designates programs are offered on a regular basis throughout the year and are designed to teach and refine skills for on-site managers, assistant managers and leasing consultants. Other programs include courses for apartment maintenance technicians and property supervisors. Scholarships are advertised and awarded on a regular basis for SAAA designation programs.

RESEARCH
A quarterly Market Conditions Report is available through SAAA. It includes occupancy and rental rate information and a quarterly market analysis and outlook. This survey is conducted through an independent service and is widely accepted as a source of reliable information within the city of San Antonio.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS
SAAA has gained respect from the community, City Council and many other organizations, agencies, associations and societies through continued community involvement. Recent projects have benefited The Red Cross, Blue Santa, Battered Women's Shelter.

NETWORKING
Opportunities arise to mix socially and for education with those who have similar business interests. This allows communication with fellow members for advice and/or assistance.

COMMUNICATIONS
SAAA publishes RESIDENCE MAGAZINE, a bi-monthly publication covering interesting and informative articles on current multifamily industry topics. An annual Directory and Buyers Guide is also published for member use.
