COMMUNICATIONS/PUBLIC
AFFAIRS
This committee serves as an editorial advisory board for the SAAA
bi-monthly magazine, annual Buyers Guide & Directory and other
membership communications.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
This extremely active committee identifies and helps implement local
community projects within guidelines established by the SAAA Board of
Directors.
EDUCATION
One of the most important responsibilities of the SAAA is education.
This committee identifies education needs of the membership and develops
timely, effective programs. They also coordinate national certification
courses.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Members of this committee study and keep the membership informed of
legislation and regulations affecting the multifamily industry. They
recommend to the membership positions to be taken by the Association on
government affairs issues and on endorsements of political candidates.
MEMBERSHIP
This highly visible, active committee participates in the
development and marketing of new members and retention of existing
members. Sub-committees include: Go-Getters - members
recruiting new members. Ambassadors - service and survey existing
members. Buddies - greet and introduce new members at meetings,
functions and events.
PROFESSIONAL
DESIGNATES COMMITTEE
The Professional Designates Committee is comprised of NAA designates
(CAM, CAMT, CAPS and NALP). The committee meets to promote
professionalism, assist in the development of educational programs,
share ideas, heighten industry awareness of the designations and promote
participation.
PROGRAM
Participants in this committee help develop, plan and coordinate
programs for the general membership, including meetings, mixers and
special events.
RESEARCH
Members of this committee coordinate the publication of the SAAA
Multihousing Market Conditions Report. They also help in the development
of other research projects to assist the membership.
